Alexa is a high energy culinary professional, a Registered/Licensed Dietitian and noted authority on nutrition, nutrition labeling and nutrition marketing. She is an established expert in food safety and sanitation, as well as a published author and critical content editor for text books and cookbooks. Alexa has spent most of her career as an R&D Chef for established restaurant chains and food manufacturers and has over 25 years teaching experience. Alexa is a ServSafe and Serv Safe Alcohol Instructor and Proctor.
Alexa Bosshardt is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian and professionally trained chef who earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University.
Alexa spent many years directing the research and development department of Arby’s Inc. and has developed hundreds of recipes for numerous restaurants and food manufacturers throughout her career. She has served as a Culinary Nutritionist for Phillips Foods, Inc., based in Baltimore, MD since 2003, contributing recipes and nutrition expertise to both the company’s web site and industry publications.
Alexa is a published cookbook author and has served as a Technical Reviewer for other cookbooks and culinary textbooks. She is a former Director of one of the country’s largest culinary apprenticeship programs and has taught courses in various area culinary and hospitality management schools for over 25 years.
Alexa is a registered ServSafe and ServSafe Alcohol instructor with the National Restaurant Association. She spent ten years as a QA Field Specialist with a prominent industry third party auditing company conducting food safety and operations compliance evaluations for dozens of different restaurant and hotel chains in South Florida and throughout the Bahamas and the Caribbean.
